It makes me so upset to see parents of an energetic, outgoing, happy little boy on their phones not even paying attention to their little bundle of joy. Occasional comments is all he gets. When has our generation of parents become so disconnected to their children? I’ll tell you when. Since social media became so big, since people have become addicted to their phones, since people can’t live one second without checking Facebook or Twitter to read the latest gossip on the Kardashians.
Children need love and attention from their parents so when they grow up, instead of saying, “yeah, my parents never really talked to me because they were focused on a screen,” but rather, “my parents raised me to be kind and courteous to others and spend time with the people I love without distractions.”
That is the lesson the next generation should be learning. Your tweet about your opinion of Trump can and will wait when spending time with your children.
It’s also the same in reverse! Like when kids are always on their phones and playing on their game systems while their mom, dad, or even grandparents are just longing for the time spent with them. Pretty twisted
